International Visitors Explore Green Laiwu During May Day Celebration in Jinan
In the pleasant April weather, amidst the singing of orioles and the lush greenery of Bijiashan Mountain, on April 25th, as part of the “Celebrates May Day in Jinan · Spring Rendezvous" series, Laiwu District in Jinan hosted a group of 22 foreign experts and international students, including Nataliya Hrabchenko, an academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and recipient of the Qilu Friendship Award. They gathered at the "Hawthorn Love" provincial rural complex to embrace the invitation of spring.
During the event, foreign guests dressed in Hanfu, admired spring flowers, recited ancient poetry, witnessed traditional artistic performances, visited the Hawthorn Museum, and immersed themselves in the hands-on experience of making candied hawthorns, savoring the essence of "Chinese delicacies." Pang Long, Deputy Director of the Jinan Foreign Affairs Office of the Municipal Party Committee, expressed in his speech that Laiwu District boasts a rich history and culture, favorable geographical location, and abundant natural resources. The complete industry chain of the hawthorn industry epitomizes the local strategy of rural revitalization and green agricultural development. Inviting foreign friends to visit and understand Laiwu will promote Jinan's high-quality agricultural products to go global.
As part of the “Celebrates May Day in Jinan · May Day Celebration" series, this event showcased the authentic and vibrant cultural, ecological, and modern aspects of Jinan to foreign visitors in a tangible and accessible manner, allowing them to experience and fall in love with Jinan during the event.
